Allocating Resources to Sites

By creating sites, it is possible to split up the Resources in the catalogue so that they are searched separately.

When loading a 'site' from the dashboard or by using the URL, only resources in that site display. Resources that do not have a site defined, will show in every site.

Individually or When Cataloguing

When sites have been configured and a new resource is being catalogued, the 'Site' field will display.

This field cannot be manually populated here, it will automatically populate with the site you have selected in Management. Therefore, if assigning resources to a site, ensure you have first selected the site from the drop-down box at the top of the Management page.

It is also possible to do this when editing a resource. Simply select the site name from the drop down menu on a resource record card.

Multiple Records

If you have created sites after your resources have been catalogued, it is possible to retroactively update them.

Select the resources you would like to allocate to a site using Quick Search, Advanced Search or Flagging then access Quick Replace by selecting 'Tools' on the menu bar at the top of the Management page and then 'Quick Replace...' from the list.

In the Field drop down, select the 'Site Name' field.

Ensure 'Filtered Records' is selected.

The grid will list the current occurrences and under value display each value that is set for the selected records. A blank entry under Value means this record has no data in that field.

In the 'Replace with' box, select or type the value to update.

Click 'Replace' to execute the quick replace.

The grid will update with the new values.
