Can Barcode Masks Add Characters?

Barcode masks are not used, nor are they able to, add characters to a barcode, they are only used to interpret the incoming barcode when it is scanned. If you wish to add characters to your barcodes, this will need to be done when they are generated, using the automatic barcode formatting for borrowers or resources.
