Unlinking Resources With the Same ISBN

If you have a box set of books that are all different but all have the same ISBN, when making any changes to the details of one book it changes them all. You need to unlink the resources so that they are not tied together by the ISBN.

Open the record card of the resource you wish to unlink by finding it in Management and double clicking it. Select the 'Advanced' tab and at the bottom of the box click the 'Unlink Resource' button. This will retain the same ISBN as the other books but you will be able to change its details without affecting the other books with the same ISBN. Now all you need to do it repeat the process for the rest. 

Use this feature cautiously, once unlinked, an item cannot be relinked, it must be removed and catalogued again, meaning you would lose all historic loan data.
