Untidy Grid in Reminders

The Reminders have generated/sent but the grid is very untidy and the headers and boxes do not line up correctly.

This is one of two different issues depending on where the reminders are being viewed and the untidiness shown.

Printed Reminders

If the reminders have been printed and the grid is showing untidy in the PDF then this is an issue with the reminder pulling the data from the database.
  • Log into the Reading Cloud system as the administrator (not librarian).
  • Open the Management/Librarian Only area.
  • From the top of the page select 'Settings'.
  • From the menu select 'Reminders and Statements...'.
  • Select the reminder having the issue.
  • Select 'Edit' on the right.
  • Select the 'Grid' tab.
  • Select any field in the box in the middle.
  • Click the arrow key pointing to the left to remove it from the list.
  • Select the same field from the box to the left.
  • Press the arrow pointing to the right to put it back.
  • Use the up and down arrows to rearrange the order of the fields to how you want them.
  • Press 'OK'.

Now when you run the reminders again the grid will display correctly.

Emailed Reminders

If the reminders have been emailed then it could be the above issue, or it could be a separate issue. Gmail has an issue reading our reminders so the same reminder sent to a different email address such as @hotmail will work fine but when sent to @gmail it won't display correctly. If the person has opened the reminder in any mail service other than Gmail and the grid is not correct the it's the issue above. If they are using Gmail then it would be worth inquiring with someone not using Gmail and see if theirs are correct. If they are correct then it's the Gmail issue, if not it's as above. This can also be tested by manually running the reminders and sending them to print rather than the default email option and checking how the grid displays.
