Adding Audio Resources to Your Catalogue

You can add Audio items to the catalogue of the library system. These are physical items of audio that can have a barcode attached to them such as CD's, cassette tapes, mini-discs or even Vinyl records.

These could be audio recordings or eBooks related to physical resources, which borrowers might wish to borrow along with the associated physical resource, you can link the resources together to help identify them.

From the New Resource screen, click on the 'Audio' icon.

Add the barcode and the ISBN if it has one and click 'Continue'.

Once the resource record card appears, click in each field and add information as required. Some of the boxes will allow you to select from a list of previously entered information, the rest are free type fields.

Items of the Audio resource type cannot have video files attached to them. To upload video files  (.AVI, .MP4, .flv) see the Live Media resource type.

Click 'Save' to add this resource to the system.
