Adding Live Media Resources to Your Library System

You can add Live Media or video files to the catalogue of your library system. When loaded on the homepage, they will play directly within the library system. This can be used for any video files you may have relating to books, or even your own videos such as things that are happening at the school.

These resources are obviously not loaned, they are simply watched through the library system itself. The following file types are accepted: 3g2, 3gp, asf, asx, avi, flv, mov, mp4, mpg, rm, srt, swf, vob, wmv.

Live media is similar to ClickView, which allows you to view their custom videos which are stored as resources in the library system.

From the New Resource screen, click on the 'Live Media' icon.

Once the resource record card appears, click in each field and add information as required. Some of the boxes will allow you to select from a list of previously entered information, the rest are free type fields.

Click the 'Upload' button to add a video file from your computer or add a URL for a web based video.

Click 'Save' to add the resource to the system.
