Adding Website Resources to Your Catalogue

Websites can be added to the catalogue of the library system as a virtual resource, they can then be found and opened directly from the homepage.

This can be helpful for pointing your borrowers to educational resources, or websites related to specific books which can be linked to the physical resource so a borrower can be taken to the official website, or wiki page for that book.

There are also a number of Weblinks that you can import via the library system itself.

From the New Resource screen click on the 'Web Site' icon.

Once the resource record card appears, click in each field and add information as required. Some of the boxes will allow you to select from a list of previously entered information, the rest are free type fields.

Type keywords, one at a time, into the box.

Click 'Add' to add the keyword to this resource item.

Click 'Save' to add this resource to the system.

Borrowers will now be presented with this virtual resource when searching one of the added keywords on the homepage, they can then load the website directly.
