Barcode Scanner - Ordering and Warranty

To outline how to order extra scanners, and detail the standard warranty.

Can I order an extra scanner?


Yes. Having multiple scanners can be beneficial for a few reasons, if you have multiple computers at your desk, you can have more than one person carrying out issuing resources, or when using stock check, you can have multiple people scanning books at once to speed the process up. 

You can have as many scanners as you like, but be aware you can only use one per computer, 2 scanners plugged into the same computer will not be able to use the library system at the same time, so your only limit is the number of computers you have. 

If you would like to order a new or extra barcode scanners you can contact our Admin team via info@reading-cloud.com to place an order.

Do scanners ordered from Reading Cloud have a warranty? 

All scanners purchased from Reading Cloud are covered by a lifetime warranty. If your scanner is faulty, we will do all we can to rectify the issue. If we are not able to resolve the issue we will send out a replacement free of charge. For International schools, a postage fee will need to be paid. 

Please contact support for assistance with scanners if reconfiguration has not rectified any errors.  

This warranty does not cover physical damage to the scanner, or scanners that have not been purchased from us. 

If your scanner is physically damaged, you are free to attempt repairs yourself but Reading Cloud will not be able to provide support for this item.
