Connect - Bromcom Installation

When installing Connect for Bromcom an issue may occur which prevents the setup from completing successfully.

This can happen when Connect has issues connecting to Bromcom's school URL.

This can be resolved either by changing the URL at the moment of error, or after the setup is complete.



Changing the URL at the Moment of Error

The first is to change the URL at the stage where you are having the issue.

From - https://cloud.bromcom.com/Nucleus/WebServices/ThirdParty/TPReadOnlyDataService.asmx

To - https://cloudmis.bromcom.com/Nucleus/WebServices/ThirdParty/TPReadOnlyDataService.asmx (or their Custom URL. Confirm with the customer the URL they use to access their Bromcom system as they may have a unique URL)

 

Changing the URL After Setup Is Complete

Click 'Next' and a pop up will appear stating the credentials are not established, click 'Yes' to continue.

Input the schools DFE if available and School Name.

Once completed, open 'Xporter' and navigate to 'Passwords'.

Click 'Modify' and Enter the logon details the customer should have made in the Prerequisites.

Next click on 'Tokens'.

Select ‘Bromcom_WebserviceUrl’ then right click and select modify.

Add "mis" after "cloud" or update the URL to be the customer’s unique URL and click okay.

After carrying out the fix, run the connect job manually.
