Detailed below is the required configuration settings for the local network and the establishment's management information system for an installation of Connect to be completed successfully.

Connect (Groupcall Xporter) MIS to library enrolment synchronisation service
Thank you for choosing Connect to maintain your borrower records on your library system.
We require a technician to read through and action the prerequisite information in this article, to ensure that your environment is configured to permit the installation to be completed successfully.
Please ensure that you examine your organisation’s specific MIS requirement information before taking any action.
If you are not the person who will be progressing this installation, please can you ensure that this article is passed on to the relevant people within your organisation.
It is best practice to install Groupcall Xporter on a Windows server machine if possible, although it is possible to install on a Windows PC. Groupcall Xporter is a service that runs automatically, usually daily at 01:00, a server will normally be powered on at this time whereas a PC will not. The service is interacting with confidential data within core systems and therefore should be protected from the “frontline” users to avoid any possibility of compromising the service.
If your organisation already uses Groupcall Xporter and the existing installation is working correctly it is possible to add the Connect script to your existing Groupcall Xporter instance without affecting the existing scripts. Please ensure that the remote assistance sites detailed below are available on your network and then contact us to arrange the remote assistance session to deploy Connect.
Please ensure the proxy settings for your network are known, in order that the Connect software can connect to the Internet and download the installer and software. If required, the proxy server IP:port (and any user access details if your proxy requires them) will be required during the installation to ensure Internet connectivity.
Please ensure that your network allows access to *.groupcall.com and *.groupcall.co.uk for the installation and subsequent software updates.
Groupcall Xporter downloads encrypted & compressed files, if these downloads will be intercepted by your Antivirus solution please ensure *.groupcall.com and *.groupcall.co.uk are whitelisted.
We will perform the installation remotely, to establish the remote assistance session it will be necessary to ensure that the installation machine has access to www.fastsupport.com and www.citrixonline.com and www.citrixonlinecdn.com.
The Connect user credentials are stored securely within Groupcall Xporter in an encoded format and therefore are inaccessible other than by the Groupcall Xporter service.

Requirements for all Systems
Please ensure that the machine on which the Groupcall Xporter is to be installed on has both .Net Framework 3.51 and .Net Framework 4.62+ installed and all Windows updates are installed.
Once done, please see the instructions specific to your MIS below.
SIMS
A new user is required in SIMS.NET with only the following group associations:
- Personnel Officer
- School Administrator
- Senior Management Team
- Third Party Reporting
Please ensure that a local SIMS client (or connector/VPN when in a hosted SIMS environment) is installed and working on the installation machine.
RM INTEGRIS
To allow Groupcall Xporter to work with the RM DataShare API, you need to enable Groupcall Xporter in the DataShare Portal in RM Integris.
Within RM Integris access the RM DataShare menu within 'System Management'.
Find and click on Groupcall Xporter to open the agreement.
Review the information provided in the portal regarding Xporter. Remember, when using Xporter, Groupcall only provides the information you specifically agree to for each third party using the Xporter service. You can check what each partner requires in the specific data sharing agreement you hold with them.
Click “Grant Access” to enable access to the feed.
ISAMS
Setup a “Batch API Key” in Administration/Control Panel to include only the following permissions:
- HR Manager Datasets
- Current Staff
- Current Staff Photos
- Pupil Manager Datasets
- Current Students
- Current Students Photos
- Contacts
- Registration Manager Datasets
- Registration Codes
- Registration Present Codes
- Registration Dates & Times
- Registration Out of School
- Registration Status
The iSAMS Batch API Key will be required during the Groupcall Xporter installation.
PROGRESSO
Progresso requires activation for API access for Groupcall Xporter to be able to extract data from the system.
To enable access for Groupcall Xporter on your Progresso system you will need to:
- Log in as a school admin user.
- Go to System/API Licenses.
- Click 'Provide Access'.
- From the dropdown on the right-hand side of the screen select Groupcall.
- Select what type of access you wish to give (read).
- Click Save.
You will need to contact the Advanced Learning support desk to obtain your “Progresso School ID” if this is not already known.
CMIS
Within CMIS Administration, select 'Database Connection', make a note of the Database account details Username and Password as these will be required for establishing a connection to the CMIS database.
Please ensure that a local CMIS client is installed and working on the installation machine.
BROMCOM
A new user with a username of GroupcallXporter is required in Bromcom with the “Third Party Role” selected. Within 'Third Party Access Permissions & Logs' select the following 'Access Permissions' for the 'Third Party Account' GroupcallXporter:
