Avatars can be a very effective way of helping borrowers express themselves, they are also an effective way of easily identifying other people.
Once created, the avatar will display in the top right corner of the homepage next to 'My Account' when the borrower is logged in, along with on their 'Account' tab. Their avatar will also display on other user's pages in select areas such as, timeline updates or blogs.
Creating an Avatar
The avatar creation interface can be accessed by selecting the existing avatar, which will show as the initials of the borrower if no avatar has yet been created.
Once selected, the avatar creation window will open down the right-hand side of the portal.
Borrowers start by selecting a gender, then under the preview box, they can select a skin tone.
They can then use the options below the preview to go through the different options and customise the avatar as they wish.
Borrowers can customise the clothes, skin tone, eyes and eyebrows, hair, mouth, nose, accessories, headwear and glasses. They can also fully customise the colours as they go. There is also a selection at the end under 'Special' that contains a number of religious items that can be used.
When they are happy with their Avatar, they press 'Save' at the top of the box and the Avatar will be saved to their account. It will now show instead of their initials.
