Issuing Resources using Senior Circulate

Issuing library resources is very easy to do, whether or not you have a hand-held barcode scanner.

To issue a resource to a borrower, you first need to open Circulate via the homepage Management screen.

You then need to load the account of the borrower you wish to issue a resource to.

Once you have selected the borrower the cursor will move straight to the Barcode field at the bottom right corner for you to scan and issue the resource.

Loan Period

Select the loan period under the Loan Duration box. By default, the 'Normal' option is checked.

    Issuing the Resource

Next, you can issue the resource to the selected borrower by scanning the barcode label of the book.

If you have selected Day, Overnight or Manual in the loan period, then you need to click the mouse cursor into the 'Barcode' field at the bottom right corner of the screen. If you haven’t then the cursor should be in the 'Barcode' field after selecting the borrower.

To issue the resource to the borrower, scan the barcode inside the book. This is the small sticker you added to the resource when cataloguing and not to the ISBN barcode printed on the back.

If you do not have a barcode scanner, you can type the resource barcode number into the 'Barcode' field and press enter. You can also click the magnifying glass icon to search the resource catalogue for the resource you are trying to issue.
