We have created an Ideas portal for any ideas you have to improve the library system, whether it is a new feature or an alteration/addition to a current feature, you can submit your ideas and vote on those submitted by others.
This portal is not for reporting when something is not working as it should, if something is not working correctly please contact us.
Signing Up
Before you can submit or vote you will need to sign up.
Click 'Sign Up' on the homepage and you will be taken to the sign up form. Enter your email address and your name into the respective boxes then read and confirm you have read the 'Terms and Conditions'. Finally click 'Register', you will then be sent an email to confirm your email address and create your password. Once you have created you password you can log into the ideas portal.
To Submit a New Idea
Click the '+ ADD A NEW IDEA' button on the left-hand side.
Now give your idea a title, this should be a short, one sentence explanation of your idea.
Add as much information as you can into the 'more details' box regarding the scope of the idea and why it would be beneficial, who it would benefit and in what way. You can even add screenshots or attachments if you like.
Provide information of how the system currently works and the struggle you are experiencing without your suggested idea, or if the library system doesn't cater for your request at all. Again, you can add screenshots or attachments if you have them.
Finally, add your email address and organisation name into the relevant boxes and press the 'ADD IDEA' button and your idea will be created.
To Vote on an Existing Idea
You can browse the entire list of ideas once you have logged in by scrolling through each page, there are filter and sort options in the top right and a search in the top left if you are looking for a specific idea. Once you have found the idea you are looking for you can click the 'VOTE' button to add your vote to it, it will then change to 'VOTED', any idea you have submitted will already show as 'VOTED'. Should you change your mind, you can click the 'VOTED' button again to remove your vote.
Before you vote, you can click on the title of an existing idea to read more about it, you can then vote on it by selecting the 'VOTE' button in the top left. You can also comment on existing ideas if you have a thought on why it would be beneficial that the original voter has not mentioned. You can also subscribe to any idea so that you will be notified as it gets updates and progresses.
