When Logging In an 'Error: Undefined' Message Is Shown

When logging into Reading Cloud it is possible for a message to display saying 'Error: Undefined', this has been caused by the built-in administrator account being recycled and thus unable to log in.

If you are experiencing this issue, you can check if the account has been recycled. To do this log in as the librarian account or another user with access to management, then open management and load the borrowers section (if no other users have access to management, please contact Reading Cloud via the information provided at the end of this article). 

When in the borrowers section click 'Recycled Records' on the menu on the right-hand side then select 'Advanced Search'.

From within the Advanced Search add the following:

  • Boolean - New 
  • Field - Type 
  • Operator - Equal To
  • Value - Security 

Click the 'Add' option followed by 'Apply'.

If the built-in administrator account does not appear in the advance search results or no other users have access to management, please contact Reading Cloud Support.
