Accessing the Virtual Assistant in Management
Purpose
To show how to access the Reading Cloud Virtual Assistant through the Management area of Reading Cloud.
Instructions
Open Manage Library / Librarian only.
From the main menu bar at the top of the interface, click 'Ask our Assistant'.
This will open a small window in the bottom right. This will enable you to select the Virtual Assistant, and ask for help with many different functions of Reading Cloud.
Click the 'Reading Cloud Virtual Assistant' option, and you will be presented with a chat window.
To enable the chat function to work, a cookie must be enabled. To do this, click the 'I agree' button. One you have done so, the input box will be available.
Here you can type in and ask questions on the usage of Reading Cloud, or request help with specific functions. The Virtual Assistant will provide details, or further troubleshooting steps. You can also request that your query be transferred to the support team.
Please note that the Virtual Assistant cannot provide account specific information such as Renewal or Expiry Dates, Pricing, account reference numbers etc. For this information, please contact the Admin team through info@reading-cloud.com
You can also use this window to search Reading Cloud's knowledge base for specific articles and guidance. Select the 'Help' option, and this will provide you with a search bar.
Type in the function or area you would like more information on, and this will provide available information on your query. You can then select the article you wish to view, and this will be opened for you. Should you wish to open the article in a separate tab, click the 'Open in new tab' button.
