Adding Document Resources to Your Library System

You can add virtual documents to the catalogue of the library system which can be opened directly from the home page. This is especially useful when there are Word or PDF documents which need to be vended to a large number of students, they can instead be provided with a link to a virtual resource, instead of printing it off multiple times. They can also be linked to physical resources, such as test exams linked to a textbook. 

From the New Resource screen, click on the 'Document' icon. 

Documents do not need a barcode as they are a digital resource.

Once the resource record card appears, click in each field and add information as required. Some of the boxes will allow you to select from a list of previously entered information, the rest are free type fields. Click 'Update' and select the document file you wish to add to that record from the explorer box.

Click 'Save' to add this resource to the system.
