Adding Picture Resources to Your Catalogue

You can add photographs, pictures or any other type of image to the catalogue of the library system. This is used primarily for physical resources and not virtual images. They should be given a barcode and then can be loaned, much like the other resources in the library.

If you add the virtual image to the 'Photograph' tab of the record card, it will show on the homepage, but only as a thumbnail and won't really be usable. It does however, allow borrowers to get an idea of the image, before borrowing it.

From the New Resource screen, click on the 'Picture' icon.

Add the barcode and the ISBN if it has one and click 'Continue'.

Once the resource record card appears, click in each field and add information as required. Some of the boxes will allow you to select from a list of previously entered information, the rest are free type fields.

Click 'Save' to add this resource to the system.
