Adding Resources into a Project Box

While creating your project box, you can add resources to it.

If you have the books with you and you have a barcode reader, you can scan the books and they will be automatically added to the grid.

If you do not have a scanner or have the books with you, press the 'Add' button in the table at the bottom and a 'Find Resources' window will open. You can then select the books from this list, use the quick search box at the top to find the books you need to add then click on them in the list to add a tick mark to them. Press 'Select' at the bottom to add them to the box.

You can also add books to the box after the box has been created from the resources table. To do this you need to use flagging to select the books you wish to add. Once the books are ticked in the grid, select 'Send to Project Box' under 'Records' on the right-hand side.

From the box that appears, press 'Add' then find and select the box that the resources are to be added to. The box information will then be populated into the other boxes, click 'Continue' and the books will be added to the box. 

 

Note that the number of items already in the box is displayed next to the box number and the number of items to be added and max capacity is shown below. If the current items and items to add exceeds the max capacity then an error will show advising you of this and offering the chance to increase the capacity to match. 

If you try adding a resource that is already in another box or on loan, it will be entered into the 'Invalid Item(s)' box. The 'More info' button will tell you why the resource cannot be added.
