How Do I Setup Logons for an Individual Borrower?

Purpose

To outline the process of setting or amending a borrower's logon credentials through their record card.

When to Do This

After Borrowers have been imported and verified; when a borrower has forgotten their password or username

Instructions

Log into your library system and select 'Manage Library' or 'Librarian Only'.

Select 'Borrowers' on the left-hand side of the screen.

Select the required borrower record and click 'Edit' in the right-hand menu or double click the record to open it.

Once the record is open, click on the 'Advance' tab.

Populate the 'Logon Name' with what you want the logon name to be, this must be a unique reference, if this is not unique the record will not save.

Click 'Change Password...'.

Type your desired password into both boxes and click 'Save'.

Set the level of permissions the user should have in 'Security Group' box.

Click 'Save' on the borrower record.

We recommended you then test the logon details after setting them.

Depending on your settings in Password Complexity, the password's minimum requirements may vary, if the password does not meet the minimum requirements you will not be able to save it.
