Instructions
Unlocking Circulate will allow Borrowers to issue and return books themselves, effectively creating a self-service machine to allow all to checkout books without logging in.
This will allow any user to issue and return books, however this does not allow access to Management. Restrictions cannot be overridden, and any loan that would be over an allowance will be denied.
How to unlock Circulate in Reading Cloud
To unlock Circulate in Reading Cloud, log into your library system as an administrator. Click on the option for 'Circulate' and you will see an 'Unlock Circulate' slider on the right hand side. Move this slider to the right to unlock circulate on this machine.
This will be saved as a cookie within the browser you are using.
If the cookies are cleared regularly (causing Circulate to become locked again), you will need to carry out the steps again or speak to your school IT team to see if the browser settings can be changed to keep the cookie in place.
How to unlock Circulate in Junior Classic
Load the library system’s homepage, and log in as the administrator or librarian.
Select the green 'settings' box at the top of the yellow box.
Scroll to the bottom of the settings menu and tick the box for 'Unlock Circulate'.
This stores a cookie within the browser you are using to allow it to remember that this setting is enabled.
If the cookies are cleared regularly (causing Circulate to become locked again), you will need to carry out the steps again or speak to your school IT team to see if the browser settings can be changed to keep the cookie in place.
