Meet the author is a collection of videos of authors talking about some of their books. When activated, it will appear in the promotions widget on the homepage.
It will show a randomly selected resource along with a brief description. Clicking the 'Watch Video' link will load the video. The 'See more authors' link will show a list of all the authors for which there are videos, along with the number of videos.
Meet the author can be turned off from the customisable homepage settings.
Meet the author looks at your subscription and presents you with resources that match your subscription, so junior schools will get junior resources, and senior get senior. This can however be overwritten if you wish.
Log into your library system as an administrator and load the management page. From the menu bar at the top of the page, select 'Settings' then select 'Module Settings' and 'Social Settings' from the list. Finally select the 'Meet the Author' tab and select an option from the list, default will follow your subscription, selecting one of the other options will overwrite it. When you are happy, click the 'Save' button.
If you are a right through school and have both a junior and a senior license, you will get junior resources, to prevent junior students from getting senior videos.
