Printing Resource and Borrower Labels
Purpose
Guidance on how to print both resource and borrower barcode labels.
Covers: Printing resource labels, printing borrower labels.
Does Not Cover: Setting up label styles, setting up label templates, and purchasing blank labels.
When to Do This
Complete this after you have completed the setup of you label styles and templates, but before you start issuing out resources to borrowers/provide them with access.
Instructions
Label Print will generate labels for all records present in the current table (limited to 'Resources', 'Borrowers' and 'Tutor Groups'). Normally you will want to print labels for a smaller selection, in which case you should first filter the records using flag by mouse, quick search or advanced search.

Within 'Management', open the table you wish to create a label template for (Resources, Borrowers, Tutor groups). Click 'Label Print' on the right-hand side of the screen or click 'Modules' on the menu bar at the top of the screen followed by 'Labels...' and 'Label Print...'.
This will open the 'Labels' interface.
The label templates that show will vary depending on what table you have accessed Label Print from.
Select the 'Style' you would like to use from the style box. A style is unique and corresponds to the dimensions of a label you are using.
L7651 is the default label style, there are a number of templates already available to get you started but it is possible to create new ones to suit your needs.
Choose the template from the available list. If none display for the label style that you have selected, you may need to create your own.
Once you have selected the style and template click 'Run' and the 'Print Labels' box will appear.
The 'Start Printing at Column' and '...Row' fields allow you to select where the printed labels will start from, for example if you have already printed seven labels onto a sheet with 5 columns you would enter Column 3 Row 2.
Press 'OK' to generate a PDF of your labels.
Tips
- If your PDF isn't opening straight away after you have generated your labels/library cards, make sure to check within your Output table. You will find this table by following Database and Output near the bottom.
