Covers: Restoring resources

Does not cover: Removing resources, or marking resources as missing.

Instructions

When an item has been removed from the resource table or marked as missing, it is placed into the recycle bin. This means it can be included in reports but not when searching from the home page. If a resource need to be restored then you can find it there are restore it. This will enable you to use the original barcode, and not need to re-catalogue the item.

Log into the library system and load Management, then select the Resources table. Load the Recycle Bin by selecting 'Recycled Records' from the right-hand menu under 'Records'.

You can filter the list to find specific resources by using quick search or advanced search, usually by Title or by barcode if available.

Highlight or flag the resource(s) to be restored and click 'Restore' on the right-hand side. A prompt will display asking if the selected resource(s) should be restored. Click 'Yes' and the resource will be added back into the main Resources table.

Note that if you have deleted the resource from here, it will not be able to be restored and have to be re-catalogued.
