Instructions
This is a one stop shop for everything you need to know about stock check. Stock check is a feature you can use to audit your resource stock. It allows you to remove resources from your library system when the physical resources are lost or damaged.
Stock check works by creating a list of certain resources (selected by you) and assumes they are all missing, you then 'check' all the resources you have. When you have worked through the selected group of resources, the stock check can be completed. All 'unchecked' items are then marked as missing and removed from your library system.
Stock Check Do’s & Don’ts:
- Don’t catalogue any new resources whilst a stock take is in progress.
- Don’t issue any resources whilst a stock take is in progress.
- Do read through all this documentation before starting.
- Do ensure to use the latest release of the Library system.
- If possible, do try to complete a stock take without stopping or interruption.
