What is the Reading Cloud Homepage?

Built upon the foundation of our acclaimed library management system and feedback from customers, Reading Cloud represents the next evolution in how school libraries operate and engage with students.

With an intuitive and user-friendly interface and integrated social features that foster community engagement, Reading Cloud ensures that students can navigate easily through resources and develop a love of reading.

A number of these settings can be set up and toggled on or off from the management settings.

Editable Homepage

The Reading Cloud Homepage is fully customisable, allowing you to include or exclude the various features of the homepage. You can also specify the order in which they show on the homepage.

Change theme/language

At the top of the reading cloud homepage are options to change the theme and the language of the homepage.

Students can click either of these options and select from the list to customise their homepage to their own preferences.

Avatars

Students can create their own avatars, personalised to their own style.

Once created, the avatar will display in the top right corner of the homepage next to 'My Account' when the borrower is logged in. Their avatar will also display on other user's pages in select areas such as chat, timeline updates or blogs.

Friends/Chat

Borrowers are able to search for and add other borrowers as friends. They can then chat with their friends in a safe and moderated space.

Blogs

Reading Cloud allows borrowers to write blogs on the books they have read or any other topic they choose.

Home Library

The Home Library allows users to add their own personal collection of books, DVDs, Games and more to their Reading Cloud account so their friends can see what they have and request to borrow them. The loans are then fully tracked by Reading Cloud so users know exactly who has their books and can request them back when needed.

Reading Lists

A reading list is essentially a list of books. You can create as many lists as you like from the management page and assign them to your borrowers.

Links

The Links feature is used to point your borrowers to other resources outside of the library system, such as other school resources, public libraries, dictionaries & encyclopaedias and other learning tools.
