Printouts, Reports or Reminders Not Appearing

Purpose

To assist in locating documents after they have been generated.

Instructions

Depending on how a document is generated, they will be viewed in a number of different ways.

Scheduled Print

When scheduling a document (reminders) to print, the library system will not present it to you on screen at any point. The document will be placed into the output table for you to print at your convenience.

Manual Print

When printouts are generated manually, the system will try to open them as soon as they are ready. These windows will open as a popup from within the library system, if the printouts are unable to open then the task gets stuck.

If a printout does not generate or a spinning loading wheel is shown with no other messages please ask your local IT team to allow popups from the following websites to ensure this does not happen:

  • *.readingcloud.net
  • *.microlibrarian.net

If a wildcard cannot be used then the http:// and https:// address of the library site must be added:

Update the numbers with your customer number (padded to 6 digits using leading 0s).

Once these changes have been made any printed document will appear on screen once they are ready. In the meantime you can find the documents you have already generated in the output table where you can print them as needed.

Email

When emailing a document such as reminders, no PDF document is generated, instead you need to look at the audit log to find who they have been sent to.

  • Click on 'Database' on the menu bar at the top of the screen.
  • From the menu, select 'Logs' and then 'Audit Log'.

The emailed reminders will now be displayed individually.

Tips

If you a generating a large document, such as lists of overdues etc. and this is not appearing. Try selecting a smaller group of data, such as just one or two groups rather than the whole school.
